Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best color for the season I have been wearing Wicked since it first came out at least over 15 years ago. My daughter wears it and my granddaughter , when she was a teenager, was shocked when we both showed up with the same color on!. I just did my toes with Wicked a couple of days ago with gel setter for the top coat. I love that Essie makescomors that are timeless and intergenerational.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile tone This is my favorite color to use everyday, everywhere. It looks great in every skin color, now I’m tanned but when my skin is clearer it also looks beautiful. I put on two coats then the “gel setter” top coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easily my favorite polish color Deep, dark, sultry. Perfectly named. You get a good technician to apply it and it's like liquid silk. I just wish someone would make a dip powder color to match.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the color I bought this after I received an email from Essie recommending it. I absolutely love it. It’s a great summer shade but I would wear it year round.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not what is used to be I have beeen wearing this shade since 2013, and it is not what it used to be. ‘Ballet Slippers’ was once a true ballet slipper color of pink with a slight hint of milky white. Now it has more of a mauve-ish hint to it. I really wish that Essie would go back to the original formula. I only assume that because of recent increased popularity that the company decided to raise the price while also cutting corners to increase production and use a price-saving formula in their most popular pink nail colors. I always swipe my nails with remover prior to polishing to remove any residue from soaps, lotions, etc. ALWAYS use a basecoat to fill in ridges and prevent staining. I polish three layers while allowing at least 2 minutes drying time in between applying. I finish with a quick drying high shine top coat to get the best look. In all, the “new” ‘Ballet Slippers’ is a pretty neutral that’s good for many occasions, it’s just not the shade that originally made me fall in love.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible! Streaky and thin! Even after 3 coats it looked cheap!
