Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfection This is my favourite polish. It nearly 2 weeks without chipping and the color is very flattering on pale skin, looks like a merlot. It is usually two coats tops and is very opaque. It looks good year round and gets compliments every time. What a wonderful find, so happy it is in the permanent collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Streak Free. It's really stream free I bought this yesterday and gave myself a manicure last night. It is the sheerest, prettiest pink color. This is like my own natural nails only better. I've heard that before, but in this case it's true. I used 3 coats over a base coat and then used a top coat. My nails look healthy, groomed, and beautiful. It really is streak free and not too milky. Will I buy again? Yes. I am not the best at home manicures, but my nails look as good as if they were done in a salon. The polish dried fast and is streak free. Most nude polishes I've tried require 3 coats to hide the streaks, and then they look too milky/opaque. Sugar Daddy is a miracle in a bottle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile tone This is my favorite color to use everyday, everywhere. It looks great in every skin color, now I’m tanned but when my skin is clearer it also looks beautiful. I put on two coats then the “gel setter” top coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the color I bought this after I received an email from Essie recommending it. I absolutely love it. It’s a great summer shade but I would wear it year round.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not what is used to be I have beeen wearing this shade since 2013, and it is not what it used to be. ‘Ballet Slippers’ was once a true ballet slipper color of pink with a slight hint of milky white. Now it has more of a mauve-ish hint to it. I really wish that Essie would go back to the original formula. I only assume that because of recent increased popularity that the company decided to raise the price while also cutting corners to increase production and use a price-saving formula in their most popular pink nail colors. I always swipe my nails with remover prior to polishing to remove any residue from soaps, lotions, etc. ALWAYS use a basecoat to fill in ridges and prevent staining. I polish three layers while allowing at least 2 minutes drying time in between applying. I finish with a quick drying high shine top coat to get the best look. In all, the “new” ‘Ballet Slippers’ is a pretty neutral that’s good for many occasions, it’s just not the shade that originally made me fall in love.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible! Streaky and thin! Even after 3 coats it looked cheap!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1st Time user Amazing, worth every penny. Ive found that 3 coats is perfect. Great shine doesn’t even need an extra top coat.
