With how much thicker Essie polish is compared to OPI, it’s a little hard to apply a good mani. I still love Essie though because of the beautiful colors and how long it stays on your nails. I bought the couture curator and found it was easy to apply which I was happy about but it chipped right away. I really love the color so I took it off and tried repainted again. I decided to buff my nails first, then I washed my
hands to make sure nothing would cause chipping from the polish and repainted. Again, the next day when I woke up there were chips! This polish also peels after it drys. That’s what cheap nail polish does - and why I avoid it. So I don’t know if I’m just not doing it right or what but it doesn’t stay on your nails at all. I’m going to look more into it becaus I like the gel look and the color isn’t amazing. If I could just buy this color in the regular Essie formula/bottle I would. I did not use a base coat or top coat, just the couture curator which is how I do all of my manicures.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The polish goes on nice and smooth. I suggest using two coats as recommended on the site, because one doesn't seem to provide full coverage. So far, I've had the polish on my toes for two weeks, and it still looks good! I just put it on my fingers tonight, so I'll have to wait and see hope it holds up at work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This polish is amazing! Not to mention the color is perfect for spring and summer. The formula itself feels great with just two thin layers you're able to get all the color payout you need. It dries quickly so you don't have to worry too much about ruining your nails right after you paint them. The color stays without chipping for about 6 days for a very clumpsy person with 3 dogs aka -> me. That is asking a lot for a polish to me with other polishes on the third day I'm already upset it's chipping. I've used it for about a month and compared it to others I own of different brands and you can definitely tell this is quality. Disclaimer: I received this product for free for a review. However, my feelings about the product are real and I will be buying other shades so I recommend you to try it!

I normally use the regular Essie nail polish, and this was my first experience with the gel couture line and I’m super impressed. Normal polish lasts about a week for me, but this went a full 2 without chipping while using the topcoat! So impressed, will be purchasing more from this line.

This product is subpar. The only positive I would give it is that the colors are very nice. Aside from that, this polish is thin and runny and not like gel polish. It takes forever to dry and even after you’ve waited an hour+ it still smudges. The lasting power is also subpar and it chips within a day or two. This is not any better than regular nail polish. Save your money and buy something else. I do not recommend. I received this product free/complimentary from Influenster for reviewing purposes.

I used this on my mom and I put 3 to 4 coats on and the color was still so faint you could see her nail through it. It was easy enough to apply but even though it's supposed to be gel it still lasted as long as normal polished would. It's really no different from a normal nail polish unfortunately.
