I've been using this for many years and absolutely LOVE it! Two coats and my nail ridges have disappeared. I have looked everywhere and can't find it. If I knew it was going to be discontinued I would have stock up. PLEASE bring it back!

This is a great product in that it is a strengthener for unique- no other product out there Essie! That has a semi matte finish- not matte ( too flat) not gloss( too much)- so used alone, your nails look naturally healthy.. if you then want to dress it up with polish, the texture grabs the polish and holds it better than any other base coat I have tried. Essie- please do not discontinue this product!

If I knew this was going to be discontinued I would’ve stocked up. I’ve not been able to find anything comparable. Such a shame Essie decided to discontinue a product that actually was one of a kind. My nails are thin and have ridges. Filing them smoothe just creates more issues with splitting etc. I’d apply two coats of this and it not only smoothed but gave some strength so I could grow my nails out. Now I can’t find anything similar and I’m annoyed.

I’ve been buying this for years because it’s the ONLY ridge filler that works properly. Two coats and my nails look normal and healthy. But now I can’t find it! Where is it? Please don’t say it was discontinued!

This is a great product. Never have I ever come across a product like this before. And I have tried a lot of nailpolish brands. It worked great with the Essie brand. Please bring this product back. Nothing else works for me. I don't know why a company would discontinue such a wonderful product. My manicures will never be the same.

This is absolutely the best product I’ve ever found for my ridge filled nails, and it’s discontinued!! I’m sooo disappointed. I use it as an everyday natural looking matte polish. It works so well, and looks great even without a color topcoat. Please bring it back!!

I have ridges on all my nails and honestly never thought anything of it. ALL I buy are Essie nail polishes and when I saw this, I thought why not! I'm so glad I did. Even with just the base on, it looks so good. I did apply about 2 coats, just because I could still feel and see the ridges after the first, but whatever amount, I think it's good!

This one is especially great because it smooths and provides vitamins to the nails. I was worried that it would take forever to dry but it actually dried very quickly and doesn't feel too heavy. It has helped prevent staining after intense colors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Initially I was a bit skeptical about this product claiming to smooth the ridges in my nails. I recently had acrylic nails taken off and the removal process wrecked havoc on my nails. The surface of my nails were uneven and they were peeling. When I applied the base coat, I noticed that it filled in the weak spots in my nails. When I applied the nail polish on top, my nails felt so smooth. You would not be able to tell that my nails were damaged. I run my fingers on the nail surface and it’s like the ridges and dips in my finger nails disappeared. My nails feel so much better after my mini manicure.

When I paint my nails, there is always unwanted texture, like slight ridges that make the polish appear bumpy. But a quick swipe of the smooth-e on nails before polish filled in the natural ridges so the color goes on smoothly. Lasted a while and looks great!

There was ridges and I needed a good base for my nails to start doing my own at home manicure. I love the Essie Smooth-E for just that. This base cost fills in the ridges and is great as the first step before the nail color. I like that it also helps with it being a barrier against nail staining from the nail polish. Overall I highly recommend, five star base coat!
