I normally always wear ballad slipper but tried this color while getting my mani and it stays on a good 10 days just in time for my biweekly mani! Essie is the best out there! This color does remind me of ballet slippers. Classic color goes with anything!

I do my nails weekly... or sooner if I get a chip. With Essie Gel Couture, I can wear the same polish for over 7 days. Make The Cut is a beautiful neutral grayish-taupe with a slight shimmer. It is completely opaque in 2 coats and followed with the Essie Gel Couture Top Coat, lasts for over 7 days with a beautiful shine. Application is very easy with the wide brush and I love the bottle design. Essie Gel Couture is the only polish I continue to buy and Iove the variety of colors!

This is the perfect neutral color. I never typically wore neutrals because I found them to be streaky, but not this! It’s got a tint of grey with a slight shimmer.

I love that I can count on this polish to last longer than others. I can typically get at least a full week of wear from this polish as opposed to three to five days. I received this polish and the gel top coat for free from Influenster and I'm glad because I love it!

I’m not a big fan of shimmery nail polishes but i do admire that this shimmer doesn’t need multi coats in order to get the desired color. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this and absolutely love the color. It’s nice and subtle, but has a nice little shimmer to it. It’s lasted up to 2 weeks nicely on my nails it does chip minimally. The only issue is that it takes a bit to dry and can easily smudge if still slightly wet.

I don't love this color, as it kind of washes you out because it's a dull color. They have a huge variety of colors in the long lasting family that I'm definitely going to try. It applies nicely but if you don't apply it right it will become streaky. As for how long lasting it is, I'd say it lasts a few days more than a regular polish. I didn't notice as much chipping as I would with regular polish. The consistency is nice and the brush gives it a nice application. It does give off a nice gel look but not like when you go to the salon to get gel. My tip would be to add at least two thin coats for the best look. I received this complementary to test but this is my honest review.

The shade of this polish was a little light for me, I would have chosen maybe a little more pink, however, I still felt elegant wearing it. I enjoy the odd shaped bottle, it added a little extra pizzaz. The polish went on very smoothly and I felt that it dried in ample time. The Essie Gel Couture lasted a few days without chipping. I work with my hands daily so keeping polish on is tough. I was impressed for what it's worth. I received this product for free, all opinions are my own.
